F.A.Q.
Is Baltimore’s Best Cleaning insured and bonded?
Yes, we carry liability insurance for general liability coverage and 3-D insurance. 3-D stands for disappearance, dishonesty and destruction.
Can I get an estimate over the phone?
Yes, with the understanding that prior to viewing the home in its natural condition, we will do our best to estimate the time each service will require and these costs involved. We strive to service your home within the conditionally estimated time.
Do I need to sign a contract for regular cleaning service?
No. You can use our service as long as Baltimore’s Best Cleaning is fulfilling your home’s needs.
How many people will clean my home?
Usually we send one staff member to clean your home. Please note that the average time required for a Basic Cleaning service is 2-3 hours, and 4-6 hours for a Moving In/Out Service. Additional services may require additional time.
Do you always send the same person?
While we always try to schedule the same cleaning person, you may occasionally see a new face. Situations like a schedule change, team member illness, vacation, or new team member training may make it necessary for us to send a substitution. However, we always do our best to send the same employee.
Can I trust your staff?
We take great care in selecting people to join our team. Our employees are carefully chosen during the hiring process. We conduct a thorough background and reference check on each prospective employee. When our staff members arrive at your home, they will be instantly recognizable, wearing our company uniform and name tag.
What happens if the cleaner damages furniture or a household appliance?
In the event that your furniture or a household appliance is damaged (scratched or broken), you must report it within 24 hours. We will look into the matter to verify and establish the source of damage, and take appropriate actions to correct the situation as necessary.
What happens if I am not satisfied with the cleaning job?
In the event that you are not satisfied with our cleaning service, you have 24 hours to report your complaint. We recommend that you check your home before the staff leave your home, whenever possible. This way, you may directly speak to the staff members to correct the situation. Our company is not responsible for complaint reported outside the 24 hours period.
Do I need to provide cleaning products and/or equipment?
We will provide our own cleaning products, all exclusively Eco-friendly (green) and safe for you, your family, and your pets. To maintain the highest hygienic standards, our company does not routinely provide vacuums, brooms, and mops. However, upon request, we can provide company cleaning equipment. For special services such as pet hair removal from furniture, we utilize a specialized commercial vacuum.
What about my pets?
Our employees are extremely animal-friendly and are used to working around pet(s).
If you will not be home while we’re cleaning, we do ask that you introduce your pet(s) to our staff on the first visit.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
Many of our customers work during the day and enjoy coming home to a clean house after a long day. If you are unable to let our staff members in or out, you can discuss your preference regarding keys and security systems with one of our managers. Baltimore’s Best Cleaning will always protect your privacy and safety.
Can I hire one of your maids directly to perform cleaning or any other services?
We invest significant resources for recruiting, hiring, and training our employees in order to consistently provide the highest quality service to our clients. Our employees have entered into non-compete agreements which prohibit them from, among other things, providing services to our clients outside the scope of their employment with us. Should you wish to hire a current or previous employee for any home-related service outside of your relationship with our company, we charge a referral fee of $2,500. This fee is due within thirty days of notification from Baltimores’s Best Cleaning. We ask that you refrain from soliciting our employees directly.
How and when do I pay for the cleaning?
Payment is due at or before the time of service, and payment options include checks, prepaid Pay-Pal, or lastly, cash. You may leave a check or cash in a labeled envelope on your kitchen counter for our staff to collect. For security purposes, please let us know in advance if you are paying with cash. All our prices include tax. For returned checks, please understand there is a mandatory $35 fee.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We understand that sometimes things happen beyond our control. We require at least 24 hours cancellation notice prior to a scheduled cleaning. There is a $30 late cancellation/lock-out fee for canceling or rescheduling a visit in less than 24 hours before the visit. The same fee applies if we are unable to gain access to your home.
